Our Mission

Our purpose and mission as design architects is to provide our clients with the expertise and experience necessary to help them make their dreams and visions a reality. To accomplish this, we are committed to listening with the intent of understanding, asking questions that promote the evolution of the vision, and developing designs that function well and express the ultimate goal of the endeavor. We are dedicated to understanding and respecting existing buildings and contexts, to making recommendations that are realistic, appropriate and economically accomplishable, and to creating beautiful architecture and inspiring spaces.

The Team

OMAD is a partnership between Ronald S. Omilian and Anthony J. O. Morin, two partners who bring together a robust, diverse, and complimentary set of skills, experiences and passions for creating meaningful places.

Ronald S. Omilian

Over Ronald's 30 year track record in practice, he has played critical roles in some of the most culturally significant projects in Detroit such as the expansion to the D.I.A., the Detroit Science Center expansion, The Wildlife Interpretive Gallery, and Butterfly/Hummingbird Garden at the Detroit Zoo, the Technology and Learning Center at Lawrence Tech., and many others. His work also includes projects for many small businesses and residential clients, a range in scale which demonstrates his dedication to clients regardless of the size of the project. Ron's comprehension of historical buildings and the methods by which they were built is formidable. This asset allows him to integrate new construction seamlessly and complimentarily into its context. Formidable too, is his commitment to promoting positive experience for those who use the buildings he designs and the communities which those buildings serve.

Anthony J. O. Morin

Anthony's professional practice engages at once, the most conceptual and the most concrete extremities of the architectural discipline. In 2017 he founded the Design-Build firm AJOM Architecture, with the mission of reintegrating Architecture, Design, Construction and Fabrication as a united practice. Anthony works with clients beginning from a simple conceptual sketch, extending all the way to the fabrication and installation of custom furnishings and details, and includes all design and construction services along the way. Anthony has lectured in America and Europe, and written essays and articles for various publications. He brings his dedication to education and community advocacy to his professional practice by teaching the communities with which he works as much about the design and building process as possible so as to pass along the knowledge and skills that he has had the privilege to learn.
